Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation (YYNAC) and Moira Shire Council have formally signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Dharnya, strengthening the partnership between the two organisations.
The MOU reflects a shared commitment to reconciliation, self-determination and greater recognition and understanding of Yorta Yorta culture, Cultural Heritage and knowledge of Country. It also provides a framework for ongoing collaboration, including opportunities to increase Aboriginal participation in decision-making, employment and procurement, and to work together to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes for Yorta Yorta People and the wider Moira Shire community.
